Get it up!

Erectile function is a real concern as we age. Here are some recent findings that can help you “stay in the game!”

1- Men who regularly used nonsteroidal anti-inflamatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as aspirin or ibuprofen were about 40% more likely to have ED than other men. The reason for the link is unknown. Caution: If you use an NSAID for heart protection or other benefits, don’t stop taking it without consulting your physician (Jacobsen, Journal of Urology)
2- Foods containing the amino acid arginine (such as milk, chickpeas, coconut and soybeans, edamame) stimulate the body’s release of nitric oxide, a chemical that dilates book vessels and improves blood flow to the penis. This is the same chemical that is affected by Viagra and other related drugs. Caution: high doses of arginine should be avoided if you have had a heart attack within the past six months.
