Dear Hal-
I started sleeping with a woman who is a real Tigress in bed. We are both in our seventies and really enjoy sex. For my Birthday, she purchased beautiful bedding and really pillows. It was another “vigorous” night at her place. The next morning, however, the moisturizers we use had apparently stained the expensive sheets. We laughed about it but when I was leaving, she had put the bedding in a plastic bag and said I should have them cleaned since they were part of my birthday gift. Should I be offended?

Dear Sheeted-
Don’t be offended. While this behavior might not be highlighted in an Emily Post book, washing what is in effect your own sheets (they were a gift after all) is not totally inappropriate. Be happy you have such a willing partner. Buy more sheets and pillowcases pronto.
